As a manufacturer of surgical instruments, we are
one of the few who produce all our WIDIA hard metal
instruments at our own production site in Tuttlingen. This way,
we guarantee unique quality for our instruments.
Modern operation methods demand optimally working
instruments of the best quality. We recognized this trend as
soon as 1952 and put the first instruments with WIDIA NC insert
on the market. This guarantees you decades of experience in the
manufacture of such instruments. More than one million
instruments with WIDIA NC insert have left our production site
since then. Each instrument involves first class German quality
work combined with decades of know-how. The instruments have a
3-year guarantee with regard to material and fabrication
defects.

What is WIDIA
A hard metal of the highest quality and evenness.
WIDIA is the protected name of a hard metal which was
previously manufactured and developed by the Fried. Krupp WIDIA
factory in Essen. It is the trademark of this company, which
was the first company that manufactured any hard metal.
Long-time experience guarantees a hard metal of the
highest quality and uniformity. Thanks to the modern Krupp
research department, combined with many years of experience, a
hard metal was developed which combines optimum hardness with
high break-/bend-resistance and optimum porosity.
