The fourth generation
Over 100 years of Chr. Diener GmbH & Co. KG
In the spring of 2001, Carolin Baur, the oldest daughter of
Helmut and Renate Diener, began working at Christian Diener.
Almost a year later, her husband, Michael Baur, took over the
technical management of the company.
Due to the speedy growth of the entire osteosynthesis branch, the number of staff working at Chr. Diener GmbH & Co KG grew from 35 in the beginning to 48 now.
The technological progress and the increasingly narrower tolerances in the production of instruments for bone surgery have made it necessary to procure additional CNC machines, even in the 5-axis range. This has made it necessary for Chr. Diener GmbH & Co KG to spatially expand again.
In March 2005, therefore, the ground was broken for the 3rd building section. Space was provided for another 5 CNC machines and 10 new jobs. In January 2006, this extension was opened. In the meantime, the company Chr. Diener GmbH & Co KG has approx. 42 employees (mostly trained surgical instrument makers) in production, as well as 7 CNC machines (of these, 2 are with 5 axes).
The restructuring of the company away from standard instruments, such as needle holders, clamps and forceps with tungsten carbide insert, up to customized production for bone surgery, is continuing to be driven forward. This is the only way to explain the sales growth of nearly 30% in 2005.
